This is a place where users can communicate with administrators, or administrators with one another. You can report vandalism, problematic users, or anything else that needs an administrator's intervention. Report users for clear cases of vandalism. Block requests for any other reason should be reported to the blocks and protections noticeboard. You tried to explain to me why it's not a road, while several other users including L. Beck and Taivo tried to explain to you why it *is* a road. But at least it's infrastructure, for which there is a Category:Infrastructure in Bornholm, but what you're doing is simply removing the roads' category without adding any alternative. @Ellywa: But then, if you protect that page in the version preferred by Hjart, you should at least add the Category:Infrastructure in Bornholm to that, as otherwise you are administratively protecting plain vandalism. It should be uncontroversial that even in the (unlikely) case "Bornholm rundt" is not a road it is infrastructure at the very least. There is no hurry at all. I just protected the page as it appeared when I first read this request, I did not take any position in this. Please, you both, take your time to discuss what is best. To start with: Is the intro on the category worded correctly, are the photos showing parts of a cycling route? If so, what would be the categorization? I don't care about the intro. Intros are unnecessary in most cases, provided the Wikidata infobox is complete. Basically, this category should include Category:National cycling routes in Denmark, Category:Cycling in Bornholm, Category:Infrastructure in Bornholm as parental categories. @A.Savin Please explain to us why you think a cycling route is something physical. Before I started Wikipedia/Commons I was heavily editing OpenStreetMap including all kinds of relations including the Bornholm Rundt route. A lot of contributors to OSM took years to really understand the concept of relations. I however due to my work became quite familiar with them, which is why I don't see cycling routes as physical entities, but rather something which like vehicles merely uses roads, etc. Hjart (talk) 17:33, 17 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Would all involved please (1) agree on somewhere to discuss this other than an admin noticeboard (please link that here), (2) stop insulting each other, and (3) try not to edit further in this area until they come up with some sort of consensus, which might involve renaming some categories and/or adding "hat notes" explaining their proper use?
